The St Joseph’s Cathedral has always been an important symbol and a focus point for celebrations in the Catholic community in the Diocese of Rockhampton around Christmas. Using a special new state of the art projection technology, we produce a Christmas themed animated 3D show, using the century old heritage listed St Joseph’s Cathedral architecture as the creative canvas for this spectacular event. It is a free feel-good community event.

The Cathedral Parish partners with Illuminart and Mosaic AV to help bring this one-of-a-kind production to the Rockhampton community. As this is a very costly venture (over $120 000) we rely on the generosity of our sponsors. The Cathedral Parish of St Joseph invites you to share in the success of ‘The Lights of Christmas’. It is recognised as a valuable family orientated event staged to bring the community together during the festive season.
