The Capricorn Coast is on the cusp of significant transformation, with strong population growth, major infrastructure investment, and new opportunities emerging across the region. To help local businesses and the broader community understand what’s ahead, Livingstone Shire Council is hosting Building Opportunity Through Collaboration – A Development Information Session on Monday, 8 December 2025, at the Keppel Bay Sailing Club, Yeppoon.
This session marks the first step in sharing Council’s vision for the next 25 years of sustainable development across the Capricorn Coast. Attendees will gain insights into community aspirations, economic trends, and Council’s strategic direction for future growth.
The morning’s program will feature presentations and discussions from key Council leaders including Katrina Paterson, Greg Abbotts, and Graham Scott. Together, they’ll outline how local businesses, developers, and the community can work in partnership to shape the region’s next chapter.
Program Highlights
- The Big Picture – Community and economic update
- New Communities – Council initiatives supporting growth
- Working Together – Planning and development collaboration
- Blueprint Livingstone – Panel discussion and Q&A
The event runs from 8:30am to 11:30am, with morning tea provided. Tickets are $25 per person (incl. GST) + booking fee, with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal, supporting St Vincent de Paul and families in need across the local community.
This is a valuable opportunity for business owners, developers, and community stakeholders to gain a clearer understanding of Livingstone’s plans and to contribute to a shared vision for the region’s future.
