The Queensland Government has partnered with the Australian Signals Directorate’s Cyber Wardens Program to provide free cyber safety training for small businesses.
Cyber security is one of the fastest growing risks for business, and many small operators don’t have the time or resources to employ dedicated IT staff. The Cyber Wardens Program has been designed specifically for small business owners and their teams, giving them the knowledge and tools to build a “human firewall” against common cyber threats.
Through the program, staff can learn how to:
- Recognise scams and phishing attempts
- Use secure passwords and authentication
- Protect business and customer data
- Respond quickly to cyber incidents
The training is easy to access online and can be completed in short, practical modules. It’s a valuable opportunity for businesses of all sizes to improve their cyber resilience without cost.
