At our recent Coffee Catch-Up, Kirsty from Galactic Donuts shared a number that surprised even her.

In 2025 alone, Galactic Donuts contributed just under $125,000 back into the Rockhampton community.

That support included:

• Local sporting clubs
• School communities
• Player-of-the-match vouchers
• Community initiatives and fundraisers

As Kirsty explained, most local businesses give back, they’re just not very good at talking about it. But this is the real impact of choosing local. When you support a Rockhampton business, that money stays here and flows back into our region.

We also discussed Galactic’s upcoming Starlight Foundation fundraiser on Saturday 21 March, where every donut will be $2 and 100% of proceeds will go to the cause.
