Between the 17th and 26th of September 2024, Jason Foss and Phil Henry spoke with 4 candidates contesting the seat of Rockhampton and 3 candidates contesting the seat of Keppel.
They were all given the same set of questions and asked to keep their responses to 90 seconds or less.
If you watch this on YouTube, each candidate’s response has been added as a chapter, so you can easily skip between the answers you’re most interested in.
The questions:
- It has become traditional for parties to identify their priorities for their first 100 days in office. What are your priorities for your electorate for the first 100 days?
- What are the main issues holding back business viability and growth in the region?
- What are your infrastructure priorities for the Capricornia region?
- The availability of sufficient, affordable baseload power while reducing net emissions from energy sources is a key component of economic sustainability. What is your view of this objective and how would you achieve it?
- The education and skills system, particularly apprenticeships, is failing to keep pace with business and industry needs. What would you do to rectify this situation?
- Artificial intelligence (AI) is already disrupting commerce in different ways. What is your view on how to manage this new technology?
- You have one minute to summarise your claims to the election.
