The Queensland Music Trails (QMF) team is calling on local organisations and community groups in Central Queensland to help bring an exciting new musical journey to life. As part of their upcoming Reef Trail program, set to visit the Capricorn Coast in 2026 and 2027, QMF is seeking expressions of interest from groups keen to contribute to this self-drive musical adventure.
The Reef Trail offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to boost tourism, celebrate culture, and showcase the unique spirit of the region. QMF is looking to collaborate with local stakeholders who may:
- Have an idea for a new event
- Operate a venue suitable for hosting performances
- Already run events and want to reach a wider audience
- Wish to offer hospitality, tourism, or related services to support the trail
Importantly, this initiative is not limited to music or arts organisations—any group with a passion for community and creativity is encouraged to apply.
Expressions of interest are now open and will close on Friday 20 June 2025. Further information, including the application process, is available on the Queensland Music Trails website via their Host an Event – Reef Trail page.
The Capricornia Chamber of Commerce encourages all interested parties to consider getting involved in this special opportunity that promises to shine a spotlight on the region and create lasting economic and cultural benefits.
