Webinar: Compliance with Positive Duty under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984

As of 12 December 2023, the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) have new regulatory powers to investigate non-compliance with the new positive duty obligations.

The changes introduced by the Anti-Discrimination and Human Rights Legislation Amendment (Respect at Work) Act 2022 (Cth) enforce a positive duty on employers to take responsible and proportionate measures to eliminate:​

  • Workplace sex discrimination, sexual and sex-based harassment;​
  • Hostile work environments on the grounds of Sex; and ​
  • Certain acts of victimization.​

The session will be divided into 2 parts:
Part 1 will be held on Tuesday, January 30 from 9:30am to 10:30am, and
