Specialist training to give you the tools to protect your staff and business from costly complaints.

The Queensland Human Rights Commission administers the Anti-Discrimination Act and the Human Rights Act in Queensland. These Acts make discrimination and sexual harassment unlawful, and they also protect the human rights of all Queenslanders.
In December 2023, legislation was passed federally to place a ‘positive duty’ on employers to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. There is also currently a bill before the Queensland Parliament to implement a similar ‘positive duty’ to employers to prevent discrimination in the workplace.

One of the steps necessary to ensure that organisations meet their ‘positive duty’ is to ensure that all staff receive expert training on their rights and obligations under the relevant legislation.

The Queensland Human Rights Commission has a suite of training packages to assist organisations to meet their ‘positive duty’ obligations, and the Commision’s staff are the definitive experts in Queensland on the relevant legislation.

The Commission’s training packages can be delivered at your workplace or other venue, at our office or via Zoom and we can tailor sessions flexibly to meet the needs of our clients.

To prevent your business from being caught up in costly discrimination and sexual harassment complaints or investigations, the Commission strongly encourages you to review your training need and get ahead of the game.
